Up for sale is a rare vintage Seiko Automatic ladies bracelet watch, reference 2205-0050, produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) in the 1970s. This model is powered by Seiko’s reliable 17-jewel automatic movement and features a classic silver-tone dial with date display, housed in a compact and elegant stainless steel case.
The watch is in full working condition and all features and functions operate properly. It is fitted on a matching stainless steel bracelet. While I am not certain if the bracelet is original to the watch, it pairs very well with the case design and looks period-correct.
The watch is in good physical condition overall, with signs of use consistent with age. The photos best describe its physical condition and should be reviewed carefully.

► ARCHIVE FILE: SEIKO — BRAND HISTORY
Seiko begins with Kintaro Hattori, who opened a shop selling and repairing clocks in Tokyo's Ginza district in 1881, at the age of twenty-one. He founded the Seikosha factory in 1892 to manufacture wall clocks, built Japan's first wristwatch, the Laurel, in 1913, and put the Seiko name on a dial for the first time in 1924. By mid-century his successors ran one of the most vertically integrated watch companies on earth, making everything from hairsprings to cases under its own roof.
